Ran my first race yesterday, the Susan G. After being hung up on by verizon for about the 4th time, and getting a busy signal when calling back for about the 8th time, I finally gave up and decided to get Vonage VOIP service. They're setup fee was actually cheaper than the transfer fee that Verizon was going to charge me to move my line over to my new place, and they're at least 5-8 ( Read more... )

I'm currently watching a downloaded copy of "The Life Aquatic" through my laptop on my television, while transcoding and burning video into DVD format, and browsing the web all at the same time.
A little over a decade ago I had never even owned a computer.
It certainly is a brave new world folks...

It looks like the club right down the street from my apartment holds a freebuy Texas Hold'em tournament every thursday night. As annoyed as I am that Hold'em has pushed every other game out of the world of poker, I might have to check this out next week ( Read more... )
