I'm still here.
I haven't been doing too much since I finished... but tomorrow I'm off to Basel with Matt for four days to look at rooms and (hopefully) find somewhere to live!

... and after what was one of the hardest exams I have ever sat (die Novellenform bei Theodor Storm and Außereheliche Schwangerschaft bzw. Mutterlichkeit bei den Naturalisten) I HAVE FINISHED MY UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE.
Now it's time to celebrate in what is perhaps one of my last justifiable student nights out... -

I have been drunk too often recently. I think that last, erm, Thursday was the last time I woke up not hungover. Today I am just exhausted. Had a bit of an emotional weekend involving my boyfriend and I, but it's all sorted out now and we're ok, and still together. We still don't have a government. The tension is building. It's all quite exciting.
Less exciting is what has been found out about several of the polling stations in this constituency- people were barred from voting after 10pm, when the polls closed, despite being there in enough time but having to queue for more than 90 minutes to cast their vote ( Read more... ) -

I am very excited about the election. It's the first time I get to vote in a General Election (I think I may have voted in a by-election in Hartlepool, though I'm not quite sure the dates add up... they don't. Oh well) and I have had a greater interest in all things Westminster since being abroad and having to be up on current events. These came ( Read more... )
