Eh, nothing too interesting. Basically, Computing Services was looking through visited site logs in the computer lab and found my livejournal. I guess some of them are pissed because I badmouth Warren Wilson so much. It'd just be funny, except this acquaintance of mine found this ranting entry that he thought was about him and got sad. I'm pretty confused by that because a)I like him and b)I've never written anything about him, positive or negative. I mean, hell, I just looked through all my entries and couldn't find even the vaguest reference to this dude. Maybe he thought one of the "arrr, drunks" posts was about him or something, even though that doesn't make sense because his dorm is so far away from mine that his drinking habits don't affect me at all. And anyway, whenever I talk shit about someone I know I always make it friends-only, precisely to avoid this kind of drama. So yeah, it's because of that and because Computing Services reading my entire livejournal (including the archives, I guess...dang) kind of creeped me
( ... )
i added you because i enjoy reading your anarchist rants, etc. heh. also, your badmouthing wilson has made me really confused about whether to come there or go to hampshire.
Depends on what you're majoring in, I think. If it's creative writing or something science-related Wilson ain't so bad. They're also much better with financial aid than Hampshire, who (I've heard) like to give people less and less money each year. It's funny you should mention that, because I actually reapplied to Hampshire and might go if they give me any money (if only for the opportunity to take classes at Smith and Mount Holyoke).
well, im leaning towards cw or anthropology or visual arts. ive heard the visual arts dept there is lacking. i went ahead and accepted hampshires offer. i hope its the right school for me.

helen muffin! it's your mommy! as in, juliana. and... i lost your number and adress (damn pathetic, i know) but have now figured our a way to reach you. hopefully. so... email me at jratner@warren... etc. and we shall talk. i am learning tibetan, and it is very, very hard.
i love you like stained glass and apples stolen from the cafeteria.
hi, my name is jessika rae- i found you through my friend ciara's journal. i hope it's okay that i added you. i just noticed you are from portland maine, and i am moving to pretty close to there in a month, and i don't really know anyone from there. xo.
Thanks for the add, although my location is kind of a lie - I do have my "home base" in P-land but for half the year I'm in college in NC (well, hopefully not anymore after this year, but yeah). Portland is a neat place, generally. There are certain things I dislike about it (the winter weather, the gentrification problem, the tiny size of the activist/punkrocker circles), but I think I'll end up coming back here when I wants to settle.
I think I'll probably be gone by the time you move here (I have to leave for college on August 19, I believe), but if you want to know anything about Portland, just ask. (and if you get the chance to visit before then, you should come and eat where I work - Little Lad's Restaurant, home of the $2.99 vegan buffet.)
Oh, and I forgotted to ask: when you say "pretty close", whereabouts do you mean? Also, how are you getting around? (Public transportation is kind of eh, especially in more rural areas, but biking around ain't so bad, though the country roads can be a bit hazardous.)
hey, i won't be out there until the end of august/begining of september. i am moving there to go to school at birthwise, and classes start september 6. i am probably moving to bridgton, about 30 miles away from portland. i don't have a car yet, so i'll mostly be biking and walking around. i was originally planning on moving to portland but it looks like i'm going to be moving closer to school now. anyway, thanks!
