Well, I challenge any other country to do as we have and donate over $30,000,000!!! Or at least have LA try, I love the fact that we've donated that much from just individuals, and we have the population of LA and surrounding areas.

Okay, the Australian Government has given $1 bill, but even we have just made half of it a 40 year interest free loan, so I can understand doing some things with the national donations, but if you Really think about it, it's the people who are donating. T-Mobile, Microsoft, MASSES of other multi-million$$ corporations could do as we have, even the banks. A quarter to half a million dollars, I know it's a lot to ask, but really, they could give a hell of a lot more!

You haven't done nothing, you just haven't been quite as dedicated as some, I think Japan made quite a large donation as well. I do admit that America has made some good donations, but for example, the American Government donation is only to be spent on American products...

I saw Rain Man tonight (yeah, hadn't seen it before) and Raymond mentions Qantas in it, and it made me think of you. So of course I had to stop the movie and tell Emily about your favorite airline!

Lol! Qantas is the safest major air-line in the world. They have had 3 major accidents ever and not in any of them did they ever have any casualties. Other than that, they have never had a crash :P But yes, they are my favourite air-line. How is Emily? How are you?

i never *flew the Q* while in OZ. I flew Air Canada from Hawaii to Sydney, then Virgin Blue from syd-perth-melb-syd. they were nice and cheap but were cheap= inexpensive but don't serve food/have movies.

Emily's good - we're both excited to be nearly done student teaching, and she's even got a job lined up for afterwards, as a long-term substitute in the school she's at now.
