Ha ha, maybe I'm an original emo girl...but the facts are true, and I don't want to be suicidal again, with my mum sleeping in my bed to make sure I wake up the next day, you know?
I've been a total, TOTAL cunt in the not too distant past, and put the people who love me through a hell of a lot. I ain't going back to that!
Interesting, in view of the fact that my collisions with bad finances means I've cut my alcohol intake by over a half and have thus lost over a stone...
I've been there pretty much...I always find that very long walks help enormously - strap on the IPOD type device (a normal strap on looks odd and hinders movement) and walk for bloody miles on your own, helps me enormously. The music helps to take the mind away from obsessional thought patterns, one of the progenitors of self harm.
Yeah, walking is great. I just need to be more motivated to do it. That's my problem, I'm just lazy! I'm not sure about music though. I always have a habit of reading too much into lyrics, and whatever my particular problem of the moment, every song seems to fit. I preffer to go out with just me, my dog and my thoughts. I talk to myself...out loud. I have conversations with people that I'll most likely never actually have. It might be a bit odd, but I've always done that. It's very theraputic. The self harm thing, or more accuritely, self injury, is lazyness too. It's an old habit, going back 12 years. I haven't always wanted to stop doing it, so I just carried on...but now I think it's a bit pathetic, and I know what triggers it, yet I allow myself to go there. Well, no more I tell thee, no more! ;-)

Decent bloody weather would help...
