I have gained a lot this year so far. I've learned a whole lot about myself and the world I am entering into. The people I've become friends with are a real motivated and solid bunch who I can relate to in one way or the other. Listening to The Killers right now and feeling good. It's pretty much empty here at Maritime on the weekends but everyone will be back by tonight for another week of scholarly work. Important pieces of me are now miles away but they remain very close to my heart. Physical distance cannot harm my emotional connection to those that I love. I feel like I can finally breathe easy. Everything that I had hoped to accomplish has come to fruition and I couldn't be happier. I've released myself from the completely messed up social strata I used to be involved with and that has probably been the best decision I've recently made. Just got back from orientation and it was a blast. There is so much that I can do at Maritime it's ridiculous. So many new and exciting doors are finally being opened and there's nothing but good things on the other side.
