It is nice being a regular!
The chap taking bookings at my taxi company this evening claimed no driver - asking whether the owner was around encouraged him to pull a 05:30 booking out of his arse. I have an account with the company, I have been using them since they began; if I need a car, a car will come ( Read more... ) -

I was carrying a basket of laundry down the stairs yesterday and I slipped. We have a narrow staircase with narrow treads, all circa 1760ish with the twisting and bowing that comes with that age ( Read more... ) -

We just spent two nights staying on the Isle of Wight. I was very nice to get away. Very relaxing. I have not slept so much in ages.
I have one more day off before I go back to work. Do you think if I sent them a note they'd let me stay away for longer? -

My work webmail is finally working. It turns out I had been given, in good faith, the url for one of the other offices so when I tried to log in from home I didn't register. This means I can restructure a bit and work from home one day a week. YAYAYAYAYAY ( Read more... ) -

Meeting on Wednesday went very well. The chap who arranged it (who apparently is a fusspot and fairly difficult to please) fed back good things about me to the Commercial Director who is my boss.
