I think my video card is dying. I already lost one of the card's two ports and the monitor. The monitor's replacement is hooked up to the second port and it's lost the signal twice already in the past two days, forcing me to shutdown manually. It fails to boot on the first try but works on the second. I'm going to stay away from games and see what ( Read more... )

A friend of the family just came back from a trip to Russia. She said the weather there was similar to home: drizzling but colder. Me, Wolf and Cap'n hit the local Renn Fest last Sunday. We got to see the Mediaeval Baebes perform. That was great! They did mostly songs from their new album Illumination which sound different from their older stuff. It's less ethereal and more earthy with a hefty helping of drums.
