Don't feel like posting that much text. This afternoon was my Saint Nicholas celebration with my cousins and their parents. I spent the morning cooking. Then we went for a walk around Lille to see the lights and all.
Yesterday I went for an art fair, a fashion fair and some X-mas shopping.
I just can't feel my feet anymore.

Yesterday I went to my grandpa to borrow his car to go to the show I mentioned in my last post. I decided to get the car because it's far from Lille and the last train leaves from there at midnight, which is so ridiculously early...I knew Madeleine and some other friends would be there too and happy to have a ride back. It's been a couple of very crappy days. I woke up yesterday with my ears totally plugged, and have been living with sounds coming like I was under water, except for all internal sounds. I do not know how loud I speak. I feel trapped in my own conscienceness and am getting mad. Especially at my GP who did not want to send me to an ENT doc. even ( Read more... )

It's been raining the whole day, and I spent it half-cooking, half-studying and some bits socializing. I had a phone call from my friend Pauline who is moving in next month with her boyfriend, who's himself starting his own business as a landscape gardener. Yesterday morning, I went to get fresh bread from the corner bakery. The baker was already taking a small whole wheat loaf from the shelf, because (and even though there are a LOT of people coming to this bakery) he remembered it's what I usually take. Except I like change, so this time I smiled and told him I wanted a grain loaf.

I went to the Mont Saint Michel, an Abbey built on a rock in the Middle Ages, and which was used as a jail during the Revolution, and is now an Abbey again, with a small community, but above all the most visited monument in France.

I had been there twice before, but never on a sunny day, which makes a massive difference.
