yes exactly!! the book i was reading was about orphans. one orphans mother gave 50 to a woman cause she foolishly believed that woman could get the orphan into a nice wealthy family. instead the woman left the orphan in the park where the orphan almost froze to death. they found her and a bunch of other little babies and that orphan was the only one to survive.

it’s like okay... that’s a sad start but there’s no substance or meaning! i understand life is cold and terrible and people are greedy and terrible but i’m reading a book FOR meaning not to be forced to contemplate terrible situations where victory is impossible and people suck. so i completely understand!!
