I figured out a while ago that a boyfriend in high school was not going to happen for me.

Y'know, my girlfriend, to my amazement, had the same experience. Just remember that there is this phenomenon where guys all of a sudden recognize the beauty (inner and outer) of girls like you once we enter college. I'm sure you'll find someone wonderful in the very near future. You certainly deserve it.

I agree with the above comment wholeheartedly. =) And commend this fellow on his encouraging words. Although I'm not a guy, I'm the same as you, Lily. Definitely not a girl who had a high school boyfriend. Somehow, once you get to college, boys grow up. Not all of them, but the ones that you'll hang out with. Look forward to it, lovely lady! =)
