Another week
This week pretty much all the school districts in SE Michigan are on midwinter break, so no subbing action for me this week (aka, no baby-sitting). Oh well. I'm not super upset about that. Ever consider a change of scenery?
Been looking very long and hard at job postings across the country yesterday and today. I have discovered many opportunities in the Carolinas. Hmm... It's not Florida, so that's a plus. Wintery day
Under advice from my mother, I didn't go anywhere today. The winter storm they've been predicting is hitting us, and since I don't have to work today, she told me just to stay home and not risk the weather or bad roads. My laptop is on the way!
Ordered a laptop at last! I got my tax refunds back, and wasted no time. S and I did some investigating though. I was totally committed to getting an Apple, but he humiliated me in Best Buy in front of one of the reps, and I conceded that I really didn't know all my facts about the best buy for my buck ( Read more... ) -

Settling in
Back at home now. And happily, my dear S has finally hooked up my computer with wi-fi, so I have internet access once again! In my very own bedroom, on my own computer no less! AND he fixed my parents' computer (replaced the power supply) and hooked them up with wi-fi, thanks in part to my brother who bought the wireless G router and card needed ( Read more... ) -

I'm no longer the maid of honor at B's wedding. Why? Because silly me, I have a life chock-full of uncertainty right now, and can't really bring myself to focus on wedding plans when I'm not the bride. Does that make me sound like a bitch? Maybe. Moving on
Still in the process of moving. Perhaps I should say, just beginning the process of moving. Yesterday I spent the entire day painting my old room at my parents. Mom and I worked ALL DAY on it.
