honestly ryan, for now you shouldnt worry about a new car unless it is of dire need, and the vehicle you drive now isnt that bad and should last you a little while
save your money for your future, and if you need a new car, settle for a newer cheaper one that is used and someone isnt selling for much, make sure its reliable, but dont go buy the brand new honda civic or something like that just to look cool, because most people dont care, and it wont look very cool if you have this brand new car and cant drive it anywhere because you are always working to pay car payments and insurance.

uhm yea so...thanks for your concern, but i'm not a moron. i know to save money for when i need it, and to buy cars on an as-needed basis. and i really need to know where you got the idea that i have enough money to go blow on a brand new car..JUST TO LOOK COOL?? do you think i'm so ignorant that i don't know to look for the best deal in a new/used car? this is a really rediculous thing for you to need to rant about.. i know i have a good car and that it will last me a while longer, but the point is, it's 10 years old and bordering 200,000 miles and if you know a thing or two about cars then you know that it's about time to invest in a new car while i can still get something out of this old one. one of the main reasons i've even begun to consider getting a new car is because it's been a "tradition" of sorts in my family to get a new car senior year.. anyway, i don't know why i am now ranting and making such a big deal out of this because i really don't remember asking your permission or guidance in spending the money i make

honestly i see you as a smarter person that would weigh out costs before he went and bought something and what you bought would give some logical reason to have
i just hate seeing people run into the same mistakes i made (i quickly learned my lesson though)

well. for one, i think its good you have high ambitions. but we all want to get out of here ryan, and the thing is. you might just have to wait like the rest of us and go to college in NC. i know thats not what you want to here. and i'm not telling you not to apply to all those other schools, really i'm not. but i think maybe you should really expand on NC colleges. we are lucky, we really do have a good selection of colleges in NC. some fantastic ones in fact. even if some of the aren't known all over the US, they are just as good as places like julliard or cornell. maybe the thing to do for you is to go to college in NC for two years...then maybe transfer? I think you will be amazed at how far away you feel from home, even if its two hours away. i just don't want you to get stuck after appying places. cuz its not as easy to get scholarships as you think. and you don't want to be paying of loans for the rest of you life do you? you can get the same education and same, or better, experience in NC. but still apply all those
