Well, we were at our kickball game tonite, when Steve's cell phone rang. I knew it couldn't be good, as it was too soon before the surgery was to be done. Sammy had a pulmonary embolism and died on the operating table. THey tried to revive him, but couldn't start his heart back again. So call us crazy, but we opted to have Sammy's leg amputated. We met with the surgeon, who said we were stuck between a rock and a hard place, as there was not time to wait for a biopsy result before making a decision. Steve knew he couldn't put Sammy to sleep knowing he didn't try to save his life. So, we opted for surgery and hope for the best ( Read more... )

Well aside from being drained due to lack of sleep, we learned some bad news today. Sammy has a large mass growing on his shoulder, which the vet thinks is cancerous. He's in so much pain and can barely walk. We had some tests run on him and will get the results back on Monday, but it doesn't look good. I've cried a lot today, as Sammy is my ( Read more... )

So... I was all set to go into the hospital at 5:30am for an induction this morning, and get a call at 4am saying "Sorry! The hospital is full!" So now, here I sit, waiting for my 11am time.. =) Hopefully we will see a baby sometime today, one way or the other.....

Finally I have an 'induction date' (if you call it that.) Next Wednesday at 5:30AM. (yes that's AM!) So the latest this kid will come is hopefully sometime Wednesday or early Thursday morning. BUT, let's sprinkle some baby dust and hope it comes EARLIER on my own! *fingers crossed* if i go on my own, it's less likely I'll need another c-

I am now officially overdue and overdone.. Stick a fork in me--I'm done. The timer has popped out. I'm tired--I can't sleep at night. I'm cranky! I just want to be done with this pregnancy. So, I'm anywhere from 1-2 weeks out from pushing out this baby. It's interesting how many people have opinions about what this baby is. And the overwhelming opinion is BOY.
