what's better: learning the material or studying to get As? I always believed learning the material was better. yet all too often we are measured by the grades we score and not the knowledge we know. Recently one of my friends here has made me aware that when I talk to people I use the same word to mean several things. For instance, when I say that I am sad, I could mean that I am slightly sad or I'm disappointed or I annoyed or empathizing or even just saying sad.
