i was sitting next to a woman with a 5-year-old girl on her lap. the girl is grabbing the hands of and otherwise playing with the 2-year-old boy in the seat in front of her, who was on his mom's lap too (the two pairs were not related nor had ever met before the bus trip, as far as i could tell). the kids are smiling and laughing and then suddenly ( Read more... )

yeah i wish i had a portable recorder so i could have you hear it. it was bizarre and cool and no one else seemed to notice (?!?).

"kids sing to bus noise" should be the name of the track. because the tear ducts are a damn normal band. not like that crummy fake elvis character.

i know! i looked all around, trying to make eye contact with someone else who had noticed...but for naught.

the otehr day i was waiting for the bus and there were about 20 people (a very multi-culti group, all strangers to each other) at the stop. the bus cruised past us, and unplanned, we all yelled as a group, "fuck you!" that restored a lot of my faith in humans.
