1) Mark Tobey 2) Nonfiction writing on all subjects--design, architecture, medical memoirs (sufferers and practitioners), politics, history...and everything Erica. 3) You're kidding, right?
Oh, your definitely staying on the f-list. Especially after giving such great responses.
I'm an absolute Impressionism addict the last few years. I could devour Monet haystacks all day long.
And thanks for the link. It's a really nice portrait. Cool.
How interesting that you're majoring in Theology. I've always been fascinated by world religions. I imagine you get into some pretty interesting discussions with Professors and classmates.

Keep me, please. I could maybe die without your fics.
1. Can't say as I've got a favorite artist, per se. If pressed, I might say Tret Fure or Loreena McKennitt. Certainly nothing in the Top 40.
2. Lately of course it's been "Erica leaves"-type stories, or at least stories about Hahn without Torres. But I'm starting to sneak looks into Bones fic.
3. Can't think of anything specifically, but I'm pretty sure there are epics out there that deserve my eye. It's just that I have such trouble with the multiple-chapter, 50,000-word epic that I usually stay away from them. Two exceptions: heartsways' "Standing in the Way of Control," and - for those of you into Star Trek: Voyager - one called "Talking Stick/Circle."

*smile* I think I was the one that 'friended' you. I don't think you're getting rid of me that easily.
I too enjoy McKennitt. But, I'm not familiar with Tret Fure, must investigate.
Well, Bones I can probably understand. I haven't seen the show. But, that Wonder Woman costume, I've been seeing around, has me intrigued.
And I was just telling punky, above, that I received a book about Georgia O'Keeffe and Ansel Adams for Christmas. I absolutely adore seeing her paintings and his photos compared. And the little essays on their friendship are so interesting. You might want to check it out, if you're ever of a mind.

Tret Fure has been around a while. Back in the 70's (yes, the 70's),she produced records (yes, vinyls) for a singer/songwriter named Cris Williamson under the Olivia Records label. She and Cris were also a couple. Olivia Records is now Olivia Cruises, and Tret and Cris have long since separated, but when I first saw Tret on stage, she was a rocker and so BUTCH I about wet my pants. She's no less hot to me these days, but her music has mellowed a bit.
Bones as Wonder Womandianeb_047July 28 2009, 15:05:27 UTC
The Wonder Woman costume, oh yeah! The episode was from Season 3, I think, called "The Mummy in the Maze." Emily Deschanel's hotter'n the hinges of Hades in that costume. I can imagine they had a hoot on the set during filming, because *everyone* was in a costume. In the episode, Bones goes with her FBI partner, Booth (the scrumptious David Boreanaz, only guy I'd do), to rescue some girl *while in the WW outfit.* At the very end, she tries the famous "spin" and it's adorable. All around yum with a spoon!
I rarely use LJ [in fact, this journal was started YEARS ago and is pretty much defunct except for the fact that I now use it to read/comment on fiction], and as long as you don't block your fanfiction you don't need to add me. However, for all intents and purposes since your merica is kind of like crack:
1. Ed Ruscha 2. Literature [favorites include Steinbeck and Fitzgerald] 3. As for fan fiction, my favorite authors include jennyo, cabenson, meryl_edan, and ahkna. Really, any of their things. Amazing shit.

I had to google Mark Tobey. And boy, am I glad I did. I would love to see some of pieces in person.
I to stay predominantly in the non-fiction end of the pool. There's just too much to learn and not enough time.
Thank you for feeding my nosiness. :)

Addition to #2: In the printed book category, I love to read murder mysteries that either have a female lead or were written by women.
