Holy shit, that's horrible. How do you keep from contorting into disgust and demanding that she leave without her dog so perhaps he could live out the rest of his tail-wagging life with someone else? How heartbreaking.

If only people would be a little more "humane" about their own. I hate seeing people in the condition they are at the hospital--comatose, drooling, feeding/pissing/shitting/breathing tubes, crusty lips, rolling in feces... yet, we keep them alive until our methods can no longer force breath into their body.

And yet we are so eager to knock off animals with minor ailments. How is this okay?

So, what was the resolution, what was her reason for wanting to euthanize the dog in the first place?

"Don't do anything in your first 6 months of practice that you don't want to do for the rest of your career" right?

cowardly hide behind the anonymous? let us have you practice for one week out and then we can talk about that quote. too many variables. nothing is anywhere near clear 99% of the time.

The dewclaw lady! It's just so funny how she knows exactly what she wants to have happen with the animal but puts on this whole facade. What's new this week?
