There is no doubt in my mind that you both are excellent parents, and I know you two will make this change as comfortable and stress free as possible for him. He's lucky to have you as his parents.

thank you. i'll need it. and you're strong, you'll get through this, as children grow - they learn how to cope. it's what life is about unfortunately. but you'll both be there to guide him through it and will both be there when he can deal.
