it happens all the time dude, a friend of mine sent me a e-mail last week about a product idea I had come up with a few years ago that is now going into production. I was laughed at by the game designers I worked with at Digital Anvil for an idea I had many years ago that is now standard for X-box. The joke CTP tells about him wanting a girl with a Camel toe that eats her corduroys, is not much different than me telling a fat chick with protruding camel toe at an anti-gay rally five years ago her problem was her pussy was hungry... it is already eating your shorts or even the bit about circumcision I am working on you said Robin Williams did something similar. I'm doing it anyway. I've asked other people who are not my buzz-killing roommate, and they agree it's different enough. Plus, the emphasis is on a different word and the subject is different. Besides, it's not like I'm going to be telling it on network TV any time soon.

Heffley, don't freak out, I came up with a bit about my gay roomate and dane cook recently did a similar bit. What I did was I just cut most of the joke, and only kept the first part of it. Shit happens, but you will find a way to incorporate that idea with something else.
