Cup O' Soup

This morning was wonderful (thanks to boyhowdy and our fabulous Tartine experience) though I cannot for the life of me understand why everyone in there had ordered croissant. Have they not TRIED the morning buns? What are they like lemmings or something? GET THE MORNING BUN. You won't regret it, and anyway, croissant is for pussies ( Read more... )

First off, I've got a morning bun for ya baby! (I just had to say it!)

Second, thank you for your kind words.

Third, Memorial Day evening sounds perfect. Mondays are almost always good for me. You've been felt penned on the calendar.

Fourth, if you want I will be glad to give you a LiveJournal tutorial. One thought right away is that if you use MS Explorer as your browser instead of hitting 'back' a bunch of times use the pull-down arrow to the right of the button to go back directly you where you came from originals. I'll be glad to show you that or anything else you like.

I SEE that little arrow! Who knew? I never realized I had that before. I can't wait to actually try it.

How sad can it get?

Okay, so everyone has confirmed and Monday the 31st it is. I realize that most people have BBQs and shit like that on Mem. Day but we are definitely not going to be eating that tripe. More on the menu TBA (I already told mere that it was a "goat cheese on the side" kind of an affair).

Have a great weekend, morning buns!

I live less than a block from Tartine. I eat a morning bun every weekend. It is a truly splendid creation. The Tartine morning bun will surely rank high on my list of the top one million things I'm going to miss about San Francisco.

I always knew you had good taste. It's amazing we don't run into one another more often .. . considering I live two blocks from Tartine.

When you do move away (and I still don't really know why you are), will you please write a song about Tartine and the morning bun??

AND, thanks for the cat people link yesterday. I could not get the whole thing to download (I am sure the problem is on my end) so I still don't know how cat people are unlike . . . it's either other people, or one another . . .total cliffhanger! But I have been singing "meow, meow, meow" to myself all day. As soon as Lotta feels better I'm going to get her to download it for me on her swanky computer.

You know...we could just arrange a clandestine rendezvous at Tartine, and I'll give you a CD with Cat People on it. I'll either be hiding under the tray of Croque Monsiers or swimming in one of the lemon-water pitchers behind the counter. Seriously, though...
