Weds: I bought him a beer (we ended up going to a strange little gay dive bar) and we ended up talking in parking lots till 1, when we discovered his battery was dead. Called AAA. We decided we wanted to date, even though he had a date the next day.

I was trying to count my blessings today and realized that I have gotten quite at home in San Diego. I have a hairdresser I love, and a nail lady. A local bar where the girl knows my name. I am too self absorbed. I have trouble seeing from the perspective of those who are very different from myself, and I don't seem to be able to accept their differences. Today was a long day of work on too little sleep. After, I bought a Japanese style BBQ for yakiniku/yakitori that is super small. Charcoal is hard to light! I'm in such an strange place right now. Work=stagnant. I feel pretty worthless. Nothing is working, and when I look back at what I've done, I feel like it was insignificant. Stayed up last night playing puzzloop and watching Heroes till 4 AM. Woke up before 9 to go check plugs at work, then went briefly to the gym before meeting Ashleigh and her friend for lunch--delicious Philly cheesesteak and garlic fries. Mmmm.
