The knife nicks his neck as the man falls. Don brushes off his team’s concern and presses a tissue to the cut, heading for the SUV and a first aid kit.

His lifesaver’s waiting for him. As Ian applies disinfectant Don notices he seems distracted.

“You have a problem with blood Ian?” The sniper pulls his hand back, fingertips red.

Laptop

Don led Ian into what had to be the base of operations. Surveillance photos of Zeke meeting with a suited man, probably his lawyer, were pinned to several boards, accompanied with witness sketches, bank statements, newspaper articles and even a restaurant receipt, yet Ian felt something was missing.

Ian followed Don’s black SUV in his pickup to the FBI building. The traffic was beginning to clog the roads as the average citizens made their way to work. The sniper parked beside Don, but it wasn’t until they were waiting for the elevator that Don started a conversation.
