Winds!
Power was out yesterday for almost 7 hours, thanks to a pretty significant spring windstorm, of the type Anchorage often gets. I could feel the wind pushing my car as I was driving home from work. Strongest recorded gust, up in the higher elevations, was 96.6 mph. Damage around the area included the usual downed trees and fences, but some felled ( Read more... ) -

I promised that I would update about all that went on in Michigan, and I never did. I still intend to, though. But since I've been home, I've been so stressed and busy with work that I've just been tired all the time when I'm home. The Boreal chickadee, which is pretty much the same size as a black cap, is taking full unshelled peanuts from my feeding station, and flying away with them. -
Advancing Sideways!
Well, I got the HR payroll clerk job! It was actually offered to me on Friday, after a long talk with the HR Director and one of our company's VPs. And I think it will be fun and a great opportunity to learn a new skill set. The catch is that they want me to also keep doing my current job (inventory control).
