For the third time since we've lived here (about 4 years?), someone hit and damaged our mailbox. The first time, we had to replace the box and post. The second time we had to replace the box. Shit
Pipe somewhere under the house (?) is apparently clogged because anytime we run water in any sink or bathtub, or flush the loo, it backs up into our utility room. :( Dino currently on the phone with the water utility, but we may need to get a plumber in. Storm warning
There's a windstorm warning for a good chunk of southcentral Alaska tonight. Typical for this time of year, but we're always cautious because four years ago a windstorm knocked out power to much of Anchorage, and we were without for six days. Doesn't seem to be too bad yet. Every year, one of the local quilting guilds, Log Cabin Quilters, hosts a quilt show downtown called the Great Alaska Quilt Show. I've been down to see it a few years now, and I always see really great quilts, but this time I took pictures to actually post so others can see too.
