Just got off the phone with Singingnettle, and she asked me to post another report:

"I'm going through Texas right now. I must say that the plant life in the southwest is really frikin' *weird*."

Singingnettle had an interesting time down in LA. Her train getting in was nine hours late, arriving at 5 am. Yep, Amtrak sometimes does that. :P She visited with an old friend for a day and a half, and then departed today (Sunday) at 2:30 pm ( Read more... )

Talked with her about 5PM. She said that she liked the crew on the train -- that they were nice, which, unfortunately, is not a given on Amtrak.
