American folksongs
So I just got out of my singing lessons and we tried out the new songbook my dad got me for Chanukah. It's American folksongs and let me tell you, I am SO excited to sing these songs! Yesterday the moon was huge. It took up the entire sky. It was orange - blazing orange and touching the ground. Tonight it is so bright, I could read by it if I went outside.

herbs
I'm preparing the seeds to my indoor herb garden. I've divided everything into little dixie cups and am soaking them depending on directions. I've never soaked seeds before. I wonder if that's specifically for an indoor garden - it grows in a plastic lidded planter. The parsley seeds I had to rinse first with dishwashing detergent. How weird ( Read more... ) -

banana bread
I just baked banana bread for the first time. God, what an easy recipe! And it really looks amazing. I'm so proud. (I'm NOT a baker, so this is a huge step for me.) Went out to dinner with dad and MJ. They got so drunk. MJ was singing Old McDonald in the backseat while dad was imitating hitkwr in the seat next to me. I told him I'd leave them at the side of the road. They then started making farm animal noises...
Hitkwr = hitler, of course. Siiiigh.

I don't know how many of you have an iPhone, but between the small keys of the simulated keyboard on the touch screen and the auto-finish intelligence, I've sent out some of the most ridiculous made-up words. So far, I think the best was the word: aleaysvlojing.
As in:
Me: Aleaysvlojing on the bright side I see.
Me: Always looking! ...Shoot.
