I feel like one of the hobbits, and I seriously need my time in the elven enclaves to relax and rejuvinate, and this weekend is *not* going to provide much of an opportunity for that. beware the freakishly pale skin
here are two pics from my queensland travels, the first one might blind you, so sheild your eyes properly. it was taken at rainbow beach, the place we had to drive for more than an hour on sand on one beach to go through a bit of outback to get to the other side and had to drive back out before the tide came back up. the second pic is from ( Read more... ) -
surfer's paradise
so Chris and I went over to the famous "surfer's paradise" and I was amazed at the general tackiness of the city. And I'm not sure if the "skin cancer" centers (oops, centres) on every corner were a good thing or a bad thing. the beach itself was nice, though swimming was not an option b/c of the waves (hence the name).
