Parenting Fail
Today i cleaned around my bed. and under my bed. This was actually a very big project. i took out 2 grocery bags full of papers. i found over 50 books. i found a 4" stack of magazines. i found a laptop computer and an external DVD drive in a box. i found over 10 notebooks and a couple dozen pens/pencils. You know what sucks?
Raynaud's syndrome (affecting feet) and dropping a dishwasher door onto your toes. Can't f-ing ice... but the pain is still there. GAAAAA! -
The process is a process...
So, the rearrangement process of our living space is proceeding quite well. i have pretty much all the furniture either rehomed to others or rearranged to a more useful formation. It is amazing how much larger our living space feels now. The only odd-out piece is our new wing-back chair (acquired via Freecycle) - there isn't a good place for it ( Read more... ) -

Highs and Lows
Today was a day with some very low lows, and some pretty neat highs, too.
The lows involved emotional meltdowns by several of us. Also darkmuffin started running a fever and has a sore throat (sounds familliar, as scootercomputer had the same thing on Tuesday and i was feeling off on Thursday/Friday). tax cut for 95% of US workers passed the House
Republicans (and 10 dems) voted to raise taxes on those making under $250k/year... fortunately Democrats (and 3 repubs) voted to lower taxes for roughly 95% of the US working population.
Seems Republicans don't really want to cut taxes after all. Voting no on tax cuts really shows them for what they are - liars.
