The birth of Xerxes
For those of you who don't follow Voron's LJ (voronx) or myspace, Xerxes Israfel Orion Sebastian Xarya was born on July 7, 2008 at 5:54 PM EDT. He was 1 pound 11 1/2 ounces, and 12 1/2 inches long at birth.

Today is Xerxes' Birthday!

Baby Xerxes is coming today!!! He will be delivered by C-Section in just a couple hours! We are very excited and totally freaking out!! Wish us the best! -

Bed Rest :-{
Yesterday at an ultrasound to look at Baby X's heart the tech/doctor found that my cervix is too short/thin. At only 24 weeks this is very NOT good. It could mean pre-term labor. They monitored my uterus and the baby's movements for awhile to see if there are any contractions. Baby X is very active and doing just fine (other than a short femur but ( Read more... ) -
Been awhile since I posted.
A lot has been going on. Enough that I've felt too overwhelmed to post anything. I don't know how I'll get everything out, or hell, even remember everything I want to convey. We've been so busy! I think I'll write some now and catch up more later ( Read more... ) -
IT' A BOY!!!
And he's healthy and active. All his bones are in the right place and developing beautifully. His spine is perfect, his heart is strong and healthy. It took over an hour to do all the measurements because he wouldn't stay still! LOL! As soon as she told us it was a boy we both thought Xerxes. Appointment with the high risk OB
I finally saw the high risk OB. I wasn't expecting it to go especially well. Usually when I see a new doctor they get all serious on me and either treat me with disbelief, or like I couldn't possibly know what I'm talking about. Awesome Surprise!
I went today for the Genetic Counseling appointment and Nuchal Translucency measurement. This is where they look for signs of Downs Syndrome and genetic disorders. Everything looks good and we got to see quite a bit of our littles ones antics. He/she was quite active for a bit but just when the tech wanted to catch a good view the little scamp ( Read more... )
