I picked the never-gotten-around-to-it option, but what I actually mean is that I've always had a piercing or tattoo done too recently and/or never weighed enough for my height to donate :(

I also doubt I could with some of the meds I'm on at this point, but who knows, haha - I've never even made it far enough to know that officially :P

You need an option for being disqualified to donate...I can't donate blood because I lived in the UK during the mad cow outbreak days.

No kidding! I didn't know they would still disqualify people for that. Seems like you could just screen the blood, you know?

i can't anymore, due to the medicine i have to get via IV every 6 weeks.

I used to give blood in Ireland every 6 months, but then I had infertility treatments, followed by pregnancy, so haven't donated in several years.

Fun fact: They don't pay for blood in Ireland, but you get a pint of guiness after to replenish fluids and iron.

Unless you count the cookie and orange juice I've never paid anywhere I've donated either. Though if they gave out guiness here I bet the donation rates would be higher.

I'm the same as the first poster - I've either had a new piercing or or a new tattoo. Or surgery. Also, I my veins are very hard to stick, so the people who are not expertly skilled would rip my arm up.

I had the whole pregnant for two years thing that kept me out for a while, and I really need to start up again. You can see my veins from space so I can usually be in and out in a half hour.
