Ran up to CS again on Monday evening on a whim and came back the following day after lunch. Went and got uniforms for work with Jessi before going to eat cheesecake at the Factory and watching Flushed Away. The movie was pretty inventive, which I appreciate more than stale jokes and gags. Abbey got married this weekend! The wedding was beautiful and probably the biggest one I've been to this year. The church couldn't have been too old and had ivory white walls contrasting with elements of dark wood and columns. Pretty fancy for a Methodist church. Work and more work
The rumors floating around work turned out to be true: we're going to a 24/48 schedule. That means one day on, two days off (instead of three). They're trying to get their act together with hiring more people but until then we have to work more (so now 40 hours of overtime automatically built into our 2-wk schedule). F*ck me, it's X-Men 3
Here's a forewarning: I started reading X-Men a lil when I was younger; I watched the cartoon; I got back into reading in college; and I own over 500 X-Men comics (crap, that's a lot). My April has mostly been work, music, and planning for Coachella. They had these postcard ads at the Jenny Lewis concert for Coachella, a music festival in Indio, California. Short update cuz my SXSW one is gonna be a lil long.
Sis is in town until next Thursday, so yea for that. I forgot about it a couple a weeks ago when I picked up 2 extra shifts between now & then, but she's driving to N.O. for the weekend to do some research for her architectural thesis next year. Talk about early planning.
