So I GOT A JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally! After 6 months of searching, applying, interviewing, & rejections I got a job here in Lexington at a great hospital. I'm both excited & scared to death. This is my first "big girl" job with benefits, retirement package, salary, and hours I have to work. For the most part, this is exactly how I feel. I don't know who Ron Hart is and did not care to click the link provided by this blogger and I disagree with a few points (I'm not practically atheist) and would have worded one or two things a little differently (wouldn't have said exactly that about not doing things in the streets regarding sex). The icing on my shitcake of a week is that the water heater busted last night and hot water was pouring out of it onto the basement floor. I am not currently there. I came home for the weekend. Halfway through the semester. It's a tough one. I'm taking 18 hours, which is 4 classes and one internship. As of mid-term, I have all A's, but that's likely to change, especially if I don't get the homework done this week. I really don't understand my former high school classmates, especially the ones I NEVER talked to, "friending" me on Facebook. I'm pretty annoyed at the moment. In fact, I'm mighty fucking annoyed at the moment. There are so many things that are annoying me that I don't even know where to begin. It's hard to believe it's been a whole year. I remember exactly what I was doing 366 days ago: I was sloshing through the pouring rain across campus, trying to figure out what classes to take at the last minute (and of which I didn't have to be an official major), & wondering if I'd just made a huge mistake by even returning to school. I went to the Sex & the City last Saturday night with my friend Natalie. It was better than I thought it was going to be. I used to watch the show when it was on HBO, but don't really like watching the censored version on TBS so I've been disconnected from the characters for 4 years.
