Sleep and other things I'm lacking...
On Thursday night, I actually dreamed that I was sleeping. How tired do you have to be to dream that you're sleeping? Alice woke me up at 6:30 this morning. We're up now eating chocolate croissants and watching WALL-E. I thought WALL-E should have been nominated for Best Picture. It was my favorite movie of the year anyway.

I was troubled to read this article yesterday about an Australian author living in Thailand who has been sentenced to three years in jail for insulting the king of Thailand.
There is a law on the books in Thailand that makes it illegal to insult, defame or threaten the royal family. High ranking Thai officials have been quoted saying how it's a ( Read more... ) -

Busy Long Weekend
Friday was Alex's and my ninth wedding anniversary. My dad and sis were nice enough to give us their Bucs tickets for Sundays game and Mistie and Ryan volunteered to babysit Alice and the dog so that we could spend Saturday night in St. Pete--our first night away from home on our own in two years ( Read more... ) -
Poets Anonymous
On Tuesday I volunteered in Alice's classroom for the school's "teach-in" day. Parents and community members volunteer to come in and impart some knowledge to the kids. Here's what I told a bunch of kindergardners about poetry:
