After all my attempts to find a Visual Studio I could afford, I get to class tonight to find out from the instructor that Microsoft gives a limited version away for free. Far more then I need to get my skills upgraded. It never one occurred to me that MS would give anything away for free.

Yellowstone is one of the most amazing places I've ever been. I knew it would be cool but it far excided my expectations. I found the thermal areas beautiful, amazing and occationally deeply moving. They are by far the closest I have ever been to a truely alien world. I took a ton of photos, hopefully, I'll have some up soon for others to see. ( Read more... )

So last night I hosted a photo shoot for my belly dancing tribe. Bee was kind enought to come over and shoot a whole pile of photos of us all dolled up. It was fun, but a little hectic. We ended up rearranging furnature, and decorating etc. And my air conditioning just couldn't keep up with all the people, especially since we kept closing doors ( Read more... )

Kate did brilently at the dentist today. She hopped right into the chair and had her mouth open before the hygentist could get her gloves on. She let her count and examine her teeth and even let her polish the front ones. At that point the hygentist figured she didn't want to push her luck and called it a day. I was so proud of Kate.

This is something I'd totally love to be able to do in a couple of years. We have a great house for it too. Screen hung from the garage, kids on the grass, adults on the back deck, snacks in the kitchen.
