Saturday All clear for cookwitch. Woot! Up to Leeds for sendraks's birthday party: good food, good company and good cocktails, who can ask for anything more? There was even cake!

Sunday Lunch & gossip with madcatwoman, always a pleasure. Back home in time for the repeat of the Dr Who series finale: thought it was a bit shit. cookwitch not surprised as silenttex thought the same.

Impulse in Euston station is where I got mine. It contains: The Ladykillers, The Titfield Thunderbolt, The Man In The White Suit, The Lavender Hill Mob, The Magnet, Passport To Pimlico, Kind Hearts & Coronets and Hue & Cry, plus a bonus disc called Forever Ealing.

It's a spectacularly good deal, isn't it? The Euston Impulse don't have any in at the moment (I was there today trying to swap my set) but are ordering another set for me for Tuesday, so they haven't them in stock in a depot somewhere.

I had to look it up earlier this week after coming across it in the book I'm reading, so I thought I'd share. I just like the sound of it, although I'm not sure it's going to come up in casual conversation all that often!

Hmm... rather disappointingly, it would appear to be pronounced something along the lines of sin-eck-docky. I've gone right off the word now, I read it as sin-eck-doshe, which is much nicer.
