Saturday - House to myself. All day. Got up after silenttex and cookwitch left for the day and went to bed before they came back. Aside from the cat: complete, blissful solitude. Dinnerladies is superb, excellently written and acted, it is both hilarious and moving in the right measures. Victoria Wood is a comedy god. I can see why trampledamage loves it so much.

Your quote has reminded me of the first White House Counsel we saw in The West Wing, Lionel Tribby. It went something along the lines of, "I am going to kill people, Leo - once with this cricket bat, which was given to me by Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth Windsor, and once with my bare hands!" (I'd check, but Mum's got the bex sets from 1-4.)
