Waiting with bated breath to find out how the Strudel turns out! You can make it for us even if it isn't good enough for the pieoff - we're a less discerning audience when it comes to appearances!

Sad about Bruno, When Harry Met Sally is one of my favourite movies. I look forward to the cinnamon recipes though :-)

Bruno Kirby (1949-2006)

Noooooooo! *mourns* I managed to miss this completely. I loved him in When Harry Met Sally, City Slickers and Good Morning Vietnam. *sighs* Damn.

The BBC website referred to him as a "veteran character actor". Character actor, yes. Sucessful character actor, certainly. But VETERAN? In tribute:

There are some actors who are always a joy to see listed in cast lists as you can be sure, if you see their name, that at least one performance in the movie will be worth watching.

Indeed - I have a list. Mostly solid second-string and character actors who go unnoticed by the average punter. There are some films that you just know are going to be crap, but it'll be worth watching to see so-&-so.

Oh yup, I remember getting very excited the first time I saw The Negotiator because the first six names in the before film credits are all on my list of people who are worth watching on their own: Kevin Spacey, Samuel L Jackson, David Morse, Ron Rifkin, John Spencer, J. T. Walsh.

John Spencer *sniff* *sob*.

And furthermore: JT Walsh *sniff* *sob*.

Hey, I'm glad you found the interview interesting, sorry for the bizarre circumstances - you're right, the world is a strange place sometimes.

We're for more than the beer and curry set, but certainly we like that a lot too...
