The 'smack' one is almost certainly a very old Billy Connolly joke, and I've heard the self-raising flower one before too. Bit of a shame to see the 'freshest comedians of this generation' stealing material from the lot before them :-\

Just a quickie to let you know that I got the job! Formal letter rec'd today, informal acceptance done by 'phone to be followed up by letter asap. Start date not known, but they may try to speed up security vetting to get me over there somewhat sharpish. Looks as though I can stay part-time, too. Happy bunny!

I am Queen Happy of the Happy People. Despite being "orf sick", I have been in a state of squee for most of the day and will be festive tomorrow night. The cats thought I was demented this morning, when I opened the letter, because I got all giggly with them.
