so - the beer and cider making process continues. we bottled it last week, and are now in the "waiting phase". fermentation can happen in as little as a week, but flavour takes time to develop. my recipe suggests waiting "several months". our impatience has determined that several is equal to 2 months and we're going to crack open the home-made ( Read more... )

earlier this week, chris and i made beer. there's a local brew-merchant called noble grape, and they sell boxed beer kits from magnotta brewery. the box is called "festabrew" and contains a 23 litre bag of wort (unfermented beer), and a package of brewers yeast. all you have to do is pour the wort into a fermenter, add the yeast, and let it sit ( Read more... )
