Pissin' off Gangs Now
This week saw some dramatic crime here in Lawton. A couple soldiers broke into some local's home, tied them up, and shot a couple. Crazy, eh? Now I've learned the victims have gang ties. Whoo, got the nasal spray flu vaccine today. Damn I hate that method. Give me a needle over a spritzer anyday. Bets on how sick I get from the thing? -

I have returned from a week in the field. 75th FiB had its annual summer exercise. It was what you'd expect an Army FYX to be: long and dirty.
We jumped locations three times, including once in the dark to practice night driving with NVGs.

Driving
I drive aimlessly when I want to relax. Today, for example, I drove nearly 200 miles along random roads here in Oklahoma. I've visited towns too small for a single streetlight, historical markers, county museums and no-name bars. I've noticed something: the two most common places of business are banks and salons. Block Leave
Today is the start of my block leave. I won't be returning to work until th 22nd. Between then I'll be driving to New York, Virginia, and Texas. Fi will be getting a few thousand miles added before this month is up.
