I learned this week I'm scheduled to deploy to Kuwait at the end of the year. It's supposed to be a 12 month deployment starting no later than December. I hope I'll ride a camel.

Right now there are major winds here at Sill. I'm slightly concerned about twisters.

I have a Hooters calendar. Bought it while in Augusta. One of the girls there got picked to be in it and she signed it for me. If I suddenly got a mountain of money I'd travel to all the Hooters in the calendar and try to get each of the girls to sign it for me.
Does that make me a skeeze?

Since the president repealed Dont Ask, Don't Tell the military has been working on integrating the new order into the system. Refractive surgery is complete. The doctor recommenced PRK over LASIK, so that's what I got. Very easy process. Surgery only took a few minutes. Waiting for my turn took 4 hours ( Read more... )

I just got off an overnight landnav exercise. The company drove out to one of the many isolated areas on Ft Sill and set up camp. We spent the afternoon trudging through woods and scrambling over scree to find the points. Then we waited for dark to do the same on a lightless night ( Read more... )

I've been greatly anticipating an upcoming trip to Germany. From Apr.11 - May 15 I'll be in Grafenwohr, Germany for training. I'm excited.
