My grad student mentee just got H. P. Lovecraft and P. G. Wodehouse confused. Sometimes it is so frustrating attempting to pass on one's knowledge to the younger set.

At the pet store where I bought Tommy, there is a cat in the window that is clearly his sister, Trixie. Tommy was abandoned by his family. Trixie and Tommy look the same and are the same age. And their names sound the same.

I feel it is my duty to buy Trixie, but someone says I can't have any more cats. Hmph.

One of my cats likes to eat twinkies.

We ended up having our first softball game of the season last night. Although we lost, we still thought it was a great game. Last year we didn't get any runs at all our first game, but this time we scored four. Our team is just about half guys and half gals, unlike most teams in chemistry. 2) First softball game of year canceled,
3) Montezuma's Revenge puts stomach in immobilizing pain.

Select two of the above, and it would suck, but with 2) & 3), I can get 1) done. Yeah!

I went to see the Al Franken Show being taped today. In the autograph line, I thought up a joke. When I told it to him, he laughed! Woot!

I was out with a friend, and we were talking about Blackadder, the British TV show. Then when we got home to my apartment, the entire series was sitting by my door! Thanks warhol!

It rained for the first time in a few months here in Berkeley. Also, Thomas Edison was born within the last few months. Ergo, Thomas Edison does not know what rain is. My friend Greg and I went to see Richard Clarke, the counter-terrorism czar for Bush 1, Clinton, and Bush II. There were a couple pretty funny lines.
