I am debating the ethics of baking cupcakes when one has acquired a sniffly cold, and I'm thinking my time might better be spent reading my current book about altitude headaches on Mount Everest ( Read more... )

Merry Christmas.

I've picked up wicked infections at Christmas parties on more than one occasion. I think you do right to keep your snuffles in quarantine.

I agree. A quiet evening by the tree (and I think my Christmas Eve present from Kate may be a book!) sounds very pleasant.

Mine's only a sinus infection, but it sure seems to be sapping my energy for doing all those things that need to be done before my girls get here this afternoon. Ah well. They love me even if the house isn't as tidy as it could be.

I hope you feel better soon, in time for Christmas morning! I know you must be very happy to have the girls coming in--isn't it fun?

I'm on antibiotics, so it'll all be fine:) And yes..to have my family all together is the best present ever..even if *they* don't think so:)

I don't feel very ill, just sniffly, and hope that will remain so.

May you have a wonderful Christmas!

Awww...Jackie...I'm so sorry you're ill on Christmas Eve.
:(
But I have to chuckle about "Typhoid Kate" owing you an I-pad...at least!
And your Little Women reference is perfect.
I love how you write!

Merry Christmas from our house to yours, dear Jackie. As a Christmas wish I hope your sense of smell and taste returns.
:)
