Final post

This is Kate writing one last time for Jackie, my mother. She passed away peacefully yesterday morning, January 3, at home. I held her hand.

Mom donated to Doctors Without Borders when she could, if anyone wants to donate in her name.

Oh, Kate. I am so sorry.
Much love to you, Kate. Thank you for posting this. I'll never forget jackiejj, ever. She was one of my first friends here at LiveJournal. I remember a story about a meditation retreat and her sneaking out to get her shoes and go to the movies. I loved her chronicling of what would otherwise have been ordinary things, she made them seem so unordinary.

And, she loved you. And your brother, and her grandchildren.

She made lj a sweeter gentler place, and she will be missed.
