Final post

This is Kate writing one last time for Jackie, my mother. She passed away peacefully yesterday morning, January 3, at home. I held her hand.

Mom donated to Doctors Without Borders when she could, if anyone wants to donate in her name.

I'm so sorry to hear it. I thought of her a day or two ago, prompted by nothing I can put a finger on. Her posts were so much fun to read, full of bad attitude in the very best way.

I am so sad to read this, but thank you for telling us. Jackie made many of my days brighter with her delight, whimsy, sly humor, wonderful drawings and genuine interest in so many things. My condolences to your family.

Ohh I am so sorry to hear this! My condolences to you, Kate, and the rest of the family.

I loved your mother's blog posts, they were always a joy to find on my friends page and I missed reading them after she became ill.

I had no idea it was this bad, I thought she was on the mend and doing well, considering.
