Final post

This is Kate writing one last time for Jackie, my mother. She passed away peacefully yesterday morning, January 3, at home. I held her hand.

Mom donated to Doctors Without Borders when she could, if anyone wants to donate in her name.

I am so sorry, you dont need me to tell you that your mom was a special lady. I will miss her posts, they never failed to make me smile. She could take an ordinary object and through the stories she wrote, she made the ordinary into extraordinary. I never met her, but reading that she is gone fills me with sadness...she was that special.

So sorry to hear this. jackiejj's posts here on lj were day-brighteners. Her charming way of relating her unique view of the world was marvelously refreshing. I hope there are plenty of church bulletins to doodle upon in her afterlife.

I'm so sorry to hear this.

I was just thinking of her the other day. My wife and I met her a few years ago, and had such a nice time, visiting at her pleasant little house, and taking a walk along the river, down by the dam.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I loved your mom's posts. She really brightened up some gloomy times in my life. She was a most special person. Prayers for you and thank you for being there for her.
