Am I a prude?

I have never considered myself to be prudish... I am far from frigid, had my first child at nineteen, have slept with more guys than I can count on both hands and more women than Mitch... I am experimental and open-minded and have never been afraid to just jump in there ( Read more... )

I don't think you're a prude. If you were prudish we would never have got together - the first time I opened my mouth about my sexuality would have had you running for the hills.

No. You've just found something that you'd rather not do, for whatever reason. In the same way as you may not like one particular flavour of ice cream, you don't like this.

I'd have found it uncomfortable just from personal space issues - not saying that's what inspired you, but just that there's a whole range of reasons that it might have rubbed you the wrong way.

I was just suprised that some people felt I was being overly dramatic about the whole thing, that they couldn't understand why I would be uncomfortable with it. Meh, each to their own I guess.

Possibly because they'd bought into the whole concept of a hen's night being a chance to be naughty. It really is a socially sanctioned time to play up and be a bit scandalous.

I've noticed people tend to get a bit ansty if you don't "get into the spirit of it!", even if you're not being antagonistic, just slightly apart.

Thanks :)

I just hate when other people feel the need to push my boundaries and then get all snarky when I don't want to play along. I got over the whole physical intimacy with strangers kick a long time ago and I have no desire to go back there when I am so happy with what I have.

Hi, I would have loved to go, but I have the little one and easter for her comes first and we already have extended family plans... Shame though cause I would have really liked that. We will have to try and catch up soon though, when you are not busy.

You've grown up. I find that sort of thing disgusting myself.
