Many of you will know Bec and Aaron from Adelaide, who regularly attend the gaming cons here in Melbourne. Both lovely people. You may or may not know that their house was broken into last weekend and lost all of their electronics, and they're unfortunately not insured. It's been a bad year...
This morning, I got to thinking about how many public figures we had lost recently. And in trying to remember all of them I came upon a Wikipedia entry that lists out all the notable deaths through each year. Being the person I am, I read the whole thing, and kept a list of the names I recognised (minus the footballers, priests and politicians). ( Read more... ) -
A health update...
Just for fun I spent yesterday in consultation with various medical specialists, all to do with my diabetes, which has been causing me some grief. Originally it was only two appointments, which then turned to 3 (yesterday) and another 5 (over the next two weeks).

Well, I have to congratulate my father on his continued perfect record. Not once in almost 50 years has he remembered my or, to the best of my knowledge, either of my sisters' birthdays. The same has gone for Xmas - nothing in all that time ( Read more... )
