The problem with going for school jobs is that everyone has to know about it. References are sought before the interview and time off has to be accounted for but it seems that I am allowed three full days off per year to attend interviews...who knew!?! Today was Hugh's birthday. He's 20. I didn't see him and it felt wrong. I feel bereft. Empty. Alone. Worthless. Unwanted.

Well.. that's the first week of the school break done and I have spent the entire week with a vile cold. Don't let my fabulous photo fool you, paracetamol and make up are wonderful inventions!
